I saw Metal Skool at the Roxy. Metal Skool is a metal cover band and they rock. Be sure to check out their humorous bios on their site. Sebastian Bach of Skid Row and Scott Ian of Anthrax were there and called on stage to play a couple of songs. A certain 'Newlywed' housewife was there as well. Jessica Simpson was not as eager to join the guys on stage. The lead singer of Metal Skool went out into the small crowd to get Jessica to join on Whitesnake's 'Here I go Again,' but to no avail. And yes, annoying Casey from 'Newlyweds' was there but no Nick. North Carolina Tarheels (1) Expect a battle tonight when these two high powered teams go head-to-head. They were ranked #1 and #2 throughout most of the college season. Carolina will try to attack Illinois in the paint where they are weak. They will do this through there All-American big man Sean May. If Illinois can shut May down, then they can win this game. If they can slow him down even and their outside bombers have a great game, then they can win as well. Illinois was in trouble against Louisville when the Cardinals were attacking the post and getting points in the paint. Louisville quit doing that in the second half and they got spanked. UNC will watch the tape of that game, learn from Louisville's mistake, and attack inside the paint all night. I believe this will be one of the most exciting championship games in a long time. The guard play for the Illini and the inside game and athleticism of the Tarheels will decide who wins this game. The game starts at 9:21pm Eastern Time. PICK: Tarheels posted 1:51pm by jholmes Alex Sanchez is the first Major League Baseball player to be suspended for steroids. The speed, no-power hitting Sanchez denies he ever took any juice. This was almost an exact repeat of the earlier game of the night. Michigan State seemed to have the edge for the first half. North Carolina then went on a big run with about 12 minutes to go and ran away with the game in a blow out. This creates a great match up between Illinois and North Carolina for all the marbles. posted 11:56pm by jholmes NCAA Update: Illinois 72 - Louisville 57. I am one for one so far with my picks today after the Illinois game. Illinois went on that run with about 10 minutes to go and put the Cardinals away.
