Bumpshack Joke: Doctor Dave had sex with one of his patients and felt guilty all day long. No matter how much he tried to forget about it, he couldn't. The guilt and sense of betrayal was overwhelming. But every once in a while he'd hear an internal, reassuring voice that said: "Dave, don't worry about it. You aren't the first doctor to sleep with one of their patients and you won't be the last. And you're single. Just let it go.." But invariably the other voice would bring him back to reality, whispering... "Dave, you're a veterinarian..."

Kyle Smith of the 'New York Post' writes about how he is grossed out by Eyes Wide Nut Tom Cruise on 'Oprah', jumping on couches, proclaiming his love for women, etc.

If Cruise is going to remain one of the biggest movie stars in the world instead of a laughingstock - remember, even Michael Jackson was on top once - he needs a quick infusion of p.r. advice, stat.

Jumped on Oprah's couch to scream, "I'm in love! I'm in love!" while throwing his hands in the air. "I can't be cool, I can't be laid-back. It's something that has happened, and I feel I want to celebrate it. I want to celebrate her." (Page Six reported that he stammered twice when Oprah asked how he met her, a charge his team denied).

Trashed Brooke Shields, telling "Access Hollywood" she should have used vitamins instead of drugs to treat her postpartum depression.

Told Reader's Digest that women "smell good. They look pretty. I love women. I do!

"Tom Cruise kissing Katie Holmes reminds me of Michael Jackson kissing Elvis' daughter," says Ronn Torossian.

"He's become a joke," says the publicist who said the Oprah segment made him want to puke, but requested anonymity for obvious reasons.

"I hate to be cynical but, past a certain age, you don't get that in love. I mean, jumping on couches? It seems like he's off his rocker. There's something meshuga here."    posted 12:42am by jholmes

I have for years now have believed that the tattoo has lost its luster. It was once a sign of rebellion and individuality.  Bare skin is the new tattoo and cheaper.  It is so rare to find someone that does not have a 'follow the trend' tattoo now days.  Follow the trend for women being the bikini pubic , lower back, naval or shoulder blade tattoo and for guys the ankle, barbed wire, or forearm tattoo.  Tattoo artists are also wondering if their art form has lost its non-conformity status.  As we grow older we often question at least some of our decisions of youth. For some it might be the waffled hair style, a decision to smoke pot, or a bad girlfriend.  I would for sure hate one of my bad decisions to be with me forever in ink on the only body I have as a reminder of my youth, immaturity, and un-individuality.  Tattoos have become so common that when you meet someone without one I realize I have met someone who is an  individual and very comfortable in his or her skin.  Some tattoos have significant meaning to some people and I can respect that. In the end...to each their own.  posted 3:54am by jholmes

NBA PLAYOFFS: Steve Nash played like the MVP he is last night by scoring 27 points and dishing out 17 assists as the Phoenix Suns topped the Dallas Mavericks 119-102.  Nash is such a playmaker by dishing the ball to wide open teammates, after his penetration, or by nailing the jumper.  Those fans who believe that Shaquille O'Neal should have won the MVP are just blind to the facts of who is more valuable to his team.  The Miami Heat played last night without O'Neal and still beat the Wizards on the Wizards home court.  Nash can also hit clutch free throw after clutch free throw down the stretch unlike Shaq.  Amare Stoudamire was huge as always for Phoenix, scoring 37 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.  Phoenix is now up two games to one in this best of seven game series.  In the early game, the Indiana Pacers shocked the Detroit Pistons again by the score of 79-74.  The ageless Reggie Miller had 6 points in the final 81 seconds and hit the gamer winner against Lindsey Hunter to shock the Pistons once again.  Indiana is up two games to one in this best of seven series.  posted 12:00am by jholmes

Bed bugs are making a comeback and biting into the U.S. hotel industry.

Although bed bugs can prosper in almost any type of building, hotels and motels are particularly vulnerable because of the transient nature of their clients and the ease with which the insects travel in luggage, clothing and furniture.

Oval-shaped and less than a quarter of an inch long, the brown-colored insects like to settle close to their food source, often hiding out under mattresses and bed frames, in crevices and behind picture frames.

Once attached to a sleeping human, they use a barbed proboscis to bore through the skin and suck their blood meal. They can go months without feeding, patiently awaiting a new host or travel companion.  posted 12:11am by jholmes

I know some of you have been kicked out of strip clubs, but do you know anyone that has been kicked out of a casino?  I know people who have been thrown out of both.  This man explains, in this humorous article, how he was thrown out of the same casino twice in the same week:

"The first time it happened I was kinda embarrassed because they had security walk me out with the girl I was and every one was staring at us. The reason everyone was watching me was because the chick I was with looked like a prostitute. She isn’t, but good bless her soul she sure can dress like one. She was really the main reason we got kicked out the first time. Mostly because she couldn’t stand still and fell into and knocked over an entire row of slot machine chairs. Her skirt flew up, she was laughing uncontrollably, and she wanted more to drink. All of these things lead to security to escort us off of the casino floor. It was very good times."

"Once on the casino floor I was unstoppable! I was calling chicks from across the room and motioning them to me. When they came over I would tell them that they were ugly. It was a bet that me and Tyler had going. There was one chick that was genuinely interested in me; I talked to her for ten minutes before I explained to her why I thought she was to high maintenance based on what she was wearing. I have found that doing that is way more fun then trying to pick up chicks."     posted 11:29am by jholmes
