Bobby Knight, one of the greatest coaches in college basketball history, has resigned as head coach of the Texas Tech Red Raiders immediately.

He rose to fame as the coach of the Indiana Hoosiers and led them to the last perfect season (1976) in college basketball.

His career record is 902-371

He started his coaching career at Army and his nickname is ‘The General’ due to his hard discipline of his players.

His son Pat Knight will take over as coach of the Red Raiders.
