After months in the spotlight for the terrible reasons, Jon and Kate Gosselin, stars of TLC’s reality show “Jon& Kate Plus 8”, have filed for divorce at the Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown, Penn., Monday afternoon, according to People.

The announcement of the end of Gosselin’s ten year marriage should be made in tonight’s special episode. In the promo for this special episode (watch video below), Kate promised to reveal life changing decisions that would affect the life of every member of the family.

The tension between the couple has been pretty evident since the beginning of the fifth season, which premiered on May 25, and they have admitted to be going through a difficult stage of their marriage after rumors of Jon and Kate’s affairs hit several gossip magazines covers.
