Singer Whitney Houston’s comeback could not be complete without the emotional interview that aired Monday (September 14) on the Oprah Winfrey Show (watch video below).

Whitney, whose new single is the ballad “I Look To You” (watch official music video), openly talked about her difficult marriage to Bobby Brown, drug abuse, rehab and family.

During Bobby and Whitney’s fifteen year old marriage (from 1992 to 2007), the singer confessed he was emotionally abusive but he was like a drug for her and the couple did drugs (cocaine and marijuana) together.

“At home, he was very much the father, he was very much the man,” Houston said. “He was very much in control. I liked that. When he said something, I listened. I was very interested in having someone have that kind of control over me. It was refreshing.”

“He was my drug,” Houston told Winfrey of Brown. “I didn’t do anything without him. I wasn’t getting high by myself. It was me and him together. We were partners.”

Whitney, who has custody of their teenage daughter Bobbi Kristina (photos), claims she does not hide the true from her daughter and even took her to an Atlanta drug rehab for mothers and children.
