Johnny Depp & Penelope Cruz In ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’
Actress Penelope Cruz, who recently secretly married actor Javier Bardem, and actor Johnny Depp were spotted filming their first scenes together for the fourth installment of Pirates Of The Caribbean, titled “On Stranger Tides”.
Penelope will play the daughter of Captain Jack Sparrow’s nemesis, Blackbeard (Ian McShane), described as the “nastiest pirate ever”. Producer Jerry Buckheimer revealed there will be a “little” romance between Johnny and Penelope.
“She plays the daughter of Blackbeard,” executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer told MTV. “She’s the daughter of the bad guy. She brings a lot of humor to it. And the fact that she’s so feisty. [There will be] a little romance between [Depp's] Captain Jack and the character that Penelope plays.”
Oh no! So Penelope will be a distraction in Sparrow’s search for the Fountain Of Youth. Lucky girl! A teaser trailer for “Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” featuring the rum addicted Captain Sparrow was presented at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con (watch video below). Johnny is a genius! The movie hits theaters May 20, 2011.
