The 28 year-old American Idol winner (season 4) was one of the biggest winners of the night, taking home three electric guitar awards for Female Artist of the Year, and Best Female Music Video and Female Single of The Year for “Mama’s Song.”

During her acceptance speech, Carrie thanked the fans and her husband, hockey player Mike Fisher. “Once again, thank you fans. We thank God for you every single day of our lives. Mike, I love you, I miss you. His teammates are going to make fun of him for that. I’m sorry babe,” she said.

Lauren, the runner-up proudly showed off her new figure in a pale pink and black ensemble after losing 25 pounds for the debut of her album “Wildflower”. While Idol winner (season 10), Scotty picked up the award for Artist Of the Year: New Artist.

The two country teens, who still claim to be just good friends, have had an incredible year. There is no doubt American Idol has produced a handful of successful country stars. However, only Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood have managed to go mainstream and become artists who are recognized worldwide.

“Hicktown” singer Jason Aldean was the big winner of a night dedicated to country music at the 2011 American Country Awards (ACAs) held at the MGM Grand Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday (December 5). Check full list of winners below.

Blake’s protégé, Dia Frampton, is not exactly a country artist – she is more of an indie singer! -, but she is super talented and in the country guy’s team, which should give her the upper hand. Country fans united!

Fortunately, Shania was not injured in the fall. She quickly got up and went on to present the award. The crowd cheered and the singer laughed off the embarrassing accident. Later Shania took to her Twitter to talk about the incident (see videos below).

Shania said, “I’ve just made a complete fool of myself and experienced one of life’s most embarrassing moments! I didn’t hurt myself but I have a bit of a sore thumb. I’m going to auction off those shoes and get rid of them as soon as I can! I never want to see those shoes again… Or maybe I’ll keep them as a souvenir…”

Kid Rock hosted the 46th Annual CMT Music Awards, which celebrated the best in country music videos over the past year in a ceremony held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday (June 8). Check out the complete list of winners below.

There awards were pretty well distributed. Everybody went home with an award. Blake Shelton was the big winner of the night with two trophies (Best Web Video and Male Video Of The Year), while his wife Miranda Lambert won Female Video Of The Year. Taylor Swift once again beat the competition to take home the biggest award of the night for Video Of The Year (“Mine”).

And Justin Bieber also won something. Country music? JBieber? Ah. Remember that Rascal Flatts collaboration (“That Should Be Me”)? Justin and the band won Collaborative Video Of The Year. Is Justin like a plague or what? He is everywhere!

Country music star Trace Adkins’ Brentwood, Tennessee (a suburb of Nashville) home burned to the ground Saturday afternoon according to his wife Rhonda.

“You can replace things, not people. I’m just glad that my children are safe,” said Rhonda Adkins, who has been married to the star for 14 years.

The couple called the once-beautiful 5,000-square-foot mansion on Millsford Court home for almost 11 years, she said. Now, it is a total loss.

“I’m just numb,” she said. “I’m sad because we lost irreplaceable things like all Trace’s awards and our family photos.”

Trace was on a plane to Alaska to perform while his home was ablaze.

No one was hurt in the blaze as two of the Adkins’ kids and their caregivers were able to escape the mansion along with their pets.  The house is a total loss and almost nothing was recovered from the blaze.

Fire investigators believe the fire started in the garage of the home.
