It was reported Thursday that the fairy godmother of the world, Oprah Winfrey, had been named Beyonce and Jay-Z‘s new bundle of joy’s godmother. But thanks to Oprah’s BFF Gayle King, our dreams have been shattered.

Beyonce’s Baby Name Meaning: Blue Ivy Carter

King told reporter Oprah isn’t Blue Ivy’s godmother, as of yet. “It’s absolutely not true that she’s the godmother. She’s friends with them, of course, and likes them both very much. She’s working on sending them a baby gift. She hasn’t even had time to send a baby gift because she’s been away,” King explained on the Early Show.

“Let me just say, if [that report is] true, it is news to her. It is news to her. You know, she was heading to South Africa when the baby was born.”

NO kidding! Proud daddy Jay-Z wastes no time. The rapper (real name Shawn Carter) just launched his two days-old daughter, baby Blue Ivy’s music career by featuring her glorious cries in the new song “Glory” released on his website (listen to audio below).

“The most amazing feeling I feel, words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real / Baby, I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you,” Jay-Z raps.

“You’re the child of destiny / you’re the child of my destiny / you’re my child with the child from Destiny’s Child.”

In the song, Jay-Z reveals baby blue was conceived in Paris, France and opens up about a previous miscarriage, rapping: “Last time the miscarriage was tragic / We was afraid you’d disappear but nah baby you’re magic.”

“Glory” was produced by Pharrell and baby Blue is credited as “B.I.C.”

Mama Beyonce must be proud.

Now, I’m not gonna say that his is completely untrue, BUT…. Beyonce was linked romantically to people like Kobe Bryant, Nas and Mos Def in the past. Do we really believe there wasn’t any hanky-panky goin’ on there?

Today you can find MC Hammer more often in a corporate boardroom or speaking on a college campus, but Hammer leaves no doubt in his new video, ‘Better Run Run,’ that he isn’t afraid of mega-rapper Jay-Z.  Hammer steps up to the microphone to tell Jay that he ain’t going to take Jay’s rap slaps laying down.

The beef started when Jay-Z went after Hammer on Kanye West’s ‘Appalled’ song by rapping:

“Show me where the boats is, Ferrari Testarossa’s/Hammer went broke so you know I’m more focused. I lost 30 mil so I spent another 30/Cause unlike Hammer 30 mil can’t hurt me.”

Hammer, a Christian, goes after Jay-Z’s constant flashing of his Roc and Illuminati signs claiming they pay homage to the devil.

In short, Hammer sends the message that Jay sold his soul to the devil for sex, wealth, and riches.

The video shows an actor playing Jay-Z being chased by the devil throughout the video.  ’Jay-Z’ then ends up running into Hammer in the last scene of the video where Hammer shows Z the light and then baptizes him.

Hammer is also taking shots at Jay-Z on his Twitter and Retweeting those that tweet him in support of the song and his beliefs.

Jay-Z better beware of King Hammer!

Looks like big things have come her way since we first gave you a glimpse at Willow Smith‘s musical venture — she’s released her first single, ‘Whip My Hair,’ and has been signed to Jay-Z‘s label — Roc Nation!

Unsurprisingly, her parents have been incredibly supportive of her dreams.

Her mom, Jada Pinkett-Smith, talked about what helped Willow pick a label:

“After meeting with several record companies, it was clear Jay-Z and the Roc Nation staff were the unquestionable choice,”

“Their passion for Willow combined with their boundless vision and artistic integrity made Roc Nation the perfect home for our little girl.”

Could 9-year-old Willow be the next big thing in pop music? A mini-Rihanna? The female Justin Bieber, perhaps?

Talk about an odd pairing!

Rapper Jay-Z and the Irish rock band U2 are scheduled to play 5 shows together in Australia.

The tour down under kicks off November 25th at Auckland’s Mount Smart Stadium and will continue through Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney and end at Perth’s Subiaco Oval.

U2 previously postponed their North American 360° tour until 2011 because of Bono’s back surgery.

Luckily, he made a very swift recovery and is itching to get back on the stage…with Jay-Z.

I’m holding out for a duo single! Wouldn’t it be fun to hear Bono rap?
