Prince William helped to rescue two Russian seamen whose cargo vessel sank in the Irish Sea off the coast of North Wales early Sunday morning.

Flight Lt. William Wales of the Royal Air Force, was co-pilot in a four-man rescue helicopter crew. The mayday call went out around 2 a.m. when the vessel Swanland‘s hull cracked in bad weather.

The crew was able to rescue two men airlifting them to safety at William’s base on the Welsh island of Anglesey. Unfortunately, the body of one seamen has been recovered and five men are still missing.

“We know that at least some of [the missing] are wearing immersion suits and have strobe lighting with them,” Jim Green, a coastguard spokesman, said Sunday. “However, sea conditions are challenging at best.”

Then, 29-year-old Kate was seen rubbing her midsection, which was cinched in a red coat. One onlooker said:

“It was very odd. Kate would not stop touching her tummy –it was very noticeable. She continually patted it and held her hands against it. She must have been doing it without realizing, and at one point she had both her hands cradling her stomach.”

On top of all of this, the palace officially reported that the Duke and Duchess would be moving into a larger home. Hmmmm….

Thursday, Prince William and his new wife the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, attended the opening of the Oak Centre for Children and Young People at The Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, Surrey.

The newlyweds were greeted by spectators, hospital staff, donors and fundraisers. ”There was excitement amongst the children before the royal arrival,” one source said. ”One boy dressed up in an English soccer shirt to surprise William.”

The center serves more than 5,000 patients a year, and is one of the largest center for children in Europe. Upon her arrival, Kate was given a bouquet by 12-year-old Alice Marples, who has been fighting a brain tumor for eight years.

Now Hallmark is releasing a similar movie called William & Catherine: A Royal Romance, which will premier on August 17th. The movie unlike this previous one will show the darker side of their lives.
