Oh Simon Cowell, how I love thee.

X Factor judge/creator/official black t-shirt wearer, Simon Cowell was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night and besides talking about what makes his U.K.-born talent competition better than its competitors and giving J-Fal awkward “hand hugs”, the brutally honest Brit was gushing about his love for The Jersey Shore.

Are we surprised?  Is there a celeb out there who hasn’t yet proclaimed their love for Snooki, Pauly D and The Situation?

However, Cowell’s love runs so deep that he made sure that X Factor made a stop in New Jersey so he could scout out some more of that elusive, untapped Jerseylicious talent.

I love Jersey Shore. I mean really I like these people. I love them… I said we have to go to New Jersey because I want to find somebody with a bit of attitude.

Something tells me that Simon’s going to have a rude awakening when he actually has to be in the same room as “these people” from New Jersey.  Can you imagine JWoww and Simon going head-to-head in a battle of bad attitudes?

Now that’s something I’d like to watch.

Earlier this week, X-Factor judge Simon Cowell told Howard Stern on his Sirius XM Radio show that he had once been set up on a date with Denise Richards. He was shocked when he showed up to the date to see the actress eight months pregnant. Now, Denise has spoken up and denied there ever was a date.

Charlie Sheen‘s ex-wife said she had no idea the meeting between she and Cowell was supposed to be romantic. ”I was at a group dinner, eight months pregnant,” she wrote on her Twitter. “Not sure how that’s considered a date! If I was being set up, I didn’t know it!”

Denise went on to admit that if she had known Cowell was available, she would’ve been interested. ”I wish I knew that it was a date!” she said. ”He’s a hot piece of ass!”

While appearing on the ever-so-controversial Howard Stern 101 Sirius XM Radio show, former American Idol judge Simon Cowell revealed to the host that he had a ”bizarre kind of blind date” with Charlie Sheen‘s ex-wife Denise Richards a few years ago.

Cowell, 51, said he and Richards, 40, were set up by mutual friends to meet at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills. “She’s cute,” he said.

So where’s the catch? ”She turned up 8 months pregnant and had a dog in her handbag.” Yikes. Richards gave birth to two daughters with Sheen: Sam, 7, and Lola, 6. She recently adopted her infant daughter Eloise Joni over the summer. Cowell admitted seeing Richards pregnant was “a real turnoff.”

“A little bit,” Cowell confessed. “But she is gorgeous. I liked her a lot, I think she’s cute, funny, a bit of a wacko…but I like that.”

Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell are officially uniting again! Abdul has been confirmed as the fourth judge for Cowell’s American version of the X Factor.

Abdul, 48, will join previously announced music executive Antonio “L.A.” Reid and British pop singer and U.K. X Factor judge Cheryl Cole. The show has held auditions in Miami, New York, Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas and Chicago. The winner of the talent competition will win $5 million. DANG! Does typing count as a talent?!?

In a statement, Cowell, 51, said:

Former American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi is airing out all her dirty laundry in her new book A Helluva High Note. Not only did she admit to being the victim of molestation as a child and date-rape, she’s now calling out Simon Cowell for not acknowledging her presence on the popular reality show.

“I smoked way too many cigarettes (a nasty habit I had previously kicked) outside the set in an attempt to bond with [Simon].”

“But he wasn’t having any of it. I hated myself for seeking his approval. I have never been that person. I say what I feel and I don’t kiss ass for anything, but if I couldn’t get him to acknowledge or engage me, I was going to be in big trouble when the light turned red.”

The singer and songwriter, who has never been afraid to speak up about her departure from American Idol, also insists that FOX had “ulterior motives” for hiring her to do the show:

“My sad take is that they were never interested in me for my accomplishments or how I could really help the contestants,” she revealed.

“As proof of that…I don’t think I was every properly credited or introduced to the viewers. I felt more like I was there to serve ulterior motives and ones that I could never achieve for them.

“I’m willing to bet that in Simon Cowell’s mind, I was Simon’s Fuller‘s girl, and that made me suspect no matter what I said and did. Under those circumstances, I could see why Cowell was less than kind to me at times, but it still hurt.”

I’m disappointed she would write this in a book. It makes her look like a cry baby, and honestly, she’d probably be better off not calling out one of the biggest names in music.

Former American Idol judge, Simon Cowell, appeared in an enigmatic commercial, “UnXploding Simon”, to promote the US version of “The X Factor”, which aired during the 2011 Super Bowl XLV on Sunday (February 6)- watch video below.

The 30-second spot shows the “unXplosion” of Simon Cowell as millions of pieces get together to form some type of jigsaw puzzle of the feared judge. When Simon’s image is revealed the words “He’s Back” appear behind him. The special effects are awesome.

“The X Factor” is coming this fall. Simon will be the leader of the judges’ panel, which is rumored to include British pop sensation Cheryl Cole. An insider said: “Simon is the boss of this show, he gets what he wants and he wants Cheryl. The money you make on American TV is huge, but there’s also a huge risk. The way American contacts are, gives Fox the chance to opt out if the viewers don’t take to her. But Simon won’t let that happen.”

After being fired this week from hit show American Idol, Kara DioGuardi must be pretty distraught. Can’t say I blame the girl, but we all knew changes were coming sooner or later.

“Kara loved judging Idol. She’s horrified that she’s just being tossed aside like this. She understands the show is in need of a revamp, but Kara really thought she had a job for as long as she wanted it. She’s beside herself.”

First lesson: Don’t tell people you think you have a job for as long as you want it. This is showbiz. You should know better, Kara!

The show, which may very well be headed for it’s last season, has reportedly hired Jennifer Lopez as a replacement judge and Steven Tyler to replace head judge Simon Cowell.
